Brooklyn Pools Open in June

All citywide pools are scheduled to open June 27, 2008, and will close September 1, 2008. How lame is it that they open long after Memorial Day and close so early in the year?



F/G Train Work to Begin on Culver Viaduct

Looks like the MTA will finally be working on the “Culver Viaduct” over the Gowanus, and the Smith/9th and 4th Ave stations for the F and, soon to be, G lines.

Boing! Goes the South Slope

Today we were strolling through the South Slope and ran across a new outpost of Boing Boing called simply Boing. We met Karen, the owner, who welcomed us into the store and showed us around, even though she hadn’t even finished setting the place up.
